Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Fuchs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuchs has chosen Piano Concerto No. 21 as his entrance music. Frederick Brennan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frederick Brennan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arnold Fuchs!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fuchs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Fuchs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brennan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brennan is trying to improve his position.

Fuchs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Brennan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Fuchs working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Brennan wants to control but Fuchs postures up.
Fuchs postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fuchs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Fuchs is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brennan has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Brennan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brennan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fuchs wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brennan, who protects the arm well.

Fuchs trying to control the position but Brennan is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brennan tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Fuchs can't control as he wanted to and Brennan manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Brennan is not content to let Fuchs control the position.
Brennan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuchs is working away from the top position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fuchs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Brennan is staying active underneath Fuchs, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fuchs not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Brennan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brennan regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fuchs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brennan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brennan wants to sweep but no luck.

Brennan wants to hit a switch here but Fuchs passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brennan there!

Brennan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fuchs throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brennan because Fuchs loaded up on that one.

Fuchs can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brennan is looking to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fuchs swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brennan is now in Fuchs's guard. A big mistake from Fuchs there, giving up the dominant position!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brennan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fuchs looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Fuchs is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brennan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Brennan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brennan tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Brennan is pressing down on Fuchs's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Brennan wants to improve his position but instead Fuchs has moved into half guard.

Fuchs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brennan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fuchs.

Fuchs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brennan is just riding it out for now. Fuchs eventually gives up the hold.

Fuchs is working for a kimura but Brennan is defending it quite comfortably.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Brennan gets caught flat footed, as Fuchs shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brennan holds on and takes a little breather.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fuchs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brennan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brennan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Fuchs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
