Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Mapanglait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mapanglait has chosen Dawn with the Sickness as his entrance music. Andres Mapanglait will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thaddeus Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Mapanglait!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mapanglait tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Jimenez counters by clinching up.
Jimenez trying to land knees to the body.
Mapanglait landing knees to the head.


It looks like Thaddeus Jimenez has been cut.
Mapanglait keeps control of Jimenez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mapanglait breaks from the clinch.

Jimenez gets caught napping as Mapanglait dives in and scores a takedown. Jimenez manages to retain guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mapanglait throws an elbow that misses. Jimenez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mapanglait's guard. Nice move by Jimenez!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jimenez in particular looking to stall.
Mapanglait wants to improve his position but Jimenez is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Jimenez seems content to control.

Thaddeus Jimenez has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Mapanglait tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jimenez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mapanglait loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mapanglait postures up in Jimenez's guard and throws a big left but Jimenez blocks it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andres Mapanglait hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mapanglait.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mapanglait is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jimenez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mapanglait has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jimenez is proving hard to escape from.
Mapanglait must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jimenez drops back looking for a leg! Mapanglait is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mapanglait manages to kick Jimenez off! Jimenez jumps back into Mapanglait's guard.

Mapanglait manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jimenez manages to get himself to full guard.

Andres Mapanglait comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Mapanglait winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
