Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Janek Smok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bonhomme Sept Heures (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sept Heures is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Monster Mash. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Janek Smok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bonhomme Sept Heures!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smok shoots in for a takedown but Sept Heures shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've been informed that Sept Heures has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Sept Heures closes the distance and pushes Smok back into the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smok swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sept Heures is now in Smok's guard. A big mistake from Smok there, giving up the dominant position!

We've been hearing good reports from Smok's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Smok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smok is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Janek Smok overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
