The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Du Preez was covering up waiting for the punch and Yamamoto finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Yamamoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Yamamoto is looking to take a break and control but Du Preez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on Du Preez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
