Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicky Mcgarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Derick Trotter!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgarry wants to clinch but Trotter slips to the side
and Trotter counters with a two punch combo.
Mcgarry closes the distance but Trotter moves to the side
and Trotter counters with a nice body shot.
Trotter lands with a kick to the temple. Mcgarry shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Trotter's coach down at Lawson MMA (UK) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Trotter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mcgarry tries to clinch but Trotter moves away
and Trotter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Trotter.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trotter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Trotter throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Mcgarry colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Trotter as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Mcgarry is left battered and dazed whilst Trotter and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derick Trotter!
