The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savov with a jab.
Savov works the jab nicely.
Savov fails with the takedown
and Sautin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Savov moves into the clinch.
Savov lands an elbow that stopped Sautin in his tracks for a moment.
Sautin can't get the takedown.
Savov looking to throw knees to the head but Sautin is blocking nicely.

Savov decides to pull guard.
Savov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sautin drops back looking for a leg! Savov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Savov manages to kick Sautin off! Sautin jumps back into Savov's guard.

Savov looking for a guillotine here but Sautin defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Savov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sautin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sautin wants to control from the top but Savov keeps moving.
Sautin stands and throws Savov's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ground and pound from Sautin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Sautin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sautin advances nicely into full mount.
