Vera comes to the cage accompanied by You are just a JOKE!. Rickenbacker v.2 has chosen Back Stabber! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rickenbacker v.2 ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vera moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rickenbacker v.2.
Vera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rickenbacker v.2 throws out the jab.
Vera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rickenbacker v.2 circles away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kid Vera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Rickenbacker v.2 counters by moving into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rickenbacker v.2 takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

No joy there for Rickenbacker v.2, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Whack! Rickenbacker v.2 lands a heavy head kick that drops Vera. The ref tackles Rickenbacker v.2 to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Vera was done.

After the fight, Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
