Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Lapis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Korgan Bloodaxe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lapis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Once Solemn . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bloodaxe counters with an inside leg kick.
Lapis with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bloodaxe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bloodaxe throws a chopping leg kick but Lapis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Andrey Lapis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bloodaxe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lapis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lapis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bloodaxe swivels and escapes.
Bloodaxe slaps away a takedown attempt from Lapis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lapis misses with a few strikes there.
Bloodaxe gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Lapis throws a series of punches but Bloodaxe avoids them all with ease.
Bloodaxe lands a leg kick that knocks Lapis off balance momentarily.
Lapis has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Bloodaxe.

Lapis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bloodaxe prevents it.

Lapis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bloodaxe walks away with a smile on his face. Lapis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lapis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bloodaxe throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lapiss head.
Lapis tries for a takedown but Bloodaxe manages to get underhooks.

Oh Lapis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bloodaxe lands a shoulder strike.
Bloodaxe effectively controlling the action here.
Bloodaxe jerks Lapis's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Lapis drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Bloodaxe goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Bloodaxe because Lapis was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
