The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem stalks Niedzwiedzki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Niedzwiedzki's face. Niedzwiedzki staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Andrzej Niedzwiedzki has been cut.
Overeem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Overeem tries to clinch up
and Niedzwiedzki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Niedzwiedzki moves away from the strike by Overeem.
Niedzwiedzki misses with a double jab
and Overeem counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Niedzwiedzki off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Overeem follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Niedzwiedzki was out before he hit the floor.
