Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jules Clement (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clement comes to the cage accompanied by Ministère AMER - Sacrifice de Poulets. Gomi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Slaap lekker!. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jules Clement!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
36 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Gomi!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Clement sprawls well. Clement wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomi gets slowly back to his feet.
Gomi dives in for a single leg takedown but Clement sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gomi blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gomi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clement throws out a leg kick but Gomi moves out of range and Clement only half commits.
Clement has taken the fight to the clinch.
Clement misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gomi tries for a takedown but Clement manages to get underhooks.
Jules Clement has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Gomi.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gomi.

Clement gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gomi.
Gomi stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Gomi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Clement misses with a kick to the body.

Clement catches Gomi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Clement comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Clement motions for Gomi to come forward. Clement throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Clement throws a push kick but Gomi slaps the foot to one side.
Clement takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A big right from Clement misses.
Gomi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Clement motions for Gomi to come forward. Clement throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Clement throws a poor cross that misses
and Gomi counters with a shoot takedown. Clement fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gomi throws a strike but Clement rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clement tries to free his leg and advance position but Gomi is retaining full guard.
Gomi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Clement has picked Gomi up and slammed him! Gomi can't keep hold of the triangle and Clement manages to pass to side control!
Clement tries to advance to mount but can't.
Gomi is looking to reverse the position.

Gomi prevents Clement from moving into mount.
Clement remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Gomi tries to improve position but can't.
Clement goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gomi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Clement's guard! Nice work there by Gomi!
Gomi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gomi throwing strikes from guard but Clement blocks nicely.
Clement trying to keep a closed guard but Gomi is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clement is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jules Clement will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Gomi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Clement misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Clement throws a body kick that misses.
Jules Clement seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clement lands a jab to Gomi's midsection.
Kenny Gomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gomi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Clement throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Clement instigates a clinch.
Gomi is trying to pull guard but Clement turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gomi breaks the clinch.
Gomi checks the leg kick nicely there.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Clement. Gomi shrugs it off though.
Good leg kick by Gomi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gomi checks a leg kick.
Gomi is looking to clinch.
Gomi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Clement.
Clement fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Clement tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gomi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Clement lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Clement throws a low kick but Gomi avoids it.
Clement looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Gomi blocks a jab.
Clement keeps Gomi at a distance using the push kick.
Gomi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gomi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gomi dives in and scores a takedown into Clement's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clement throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gomi uses it to pass to side control.
Gomi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Clement is avoiding damage well.
Clement is trying to improve his position.
Clement is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Heavy Metal, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Gomi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Clement is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ground and pound from Gomi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Clement gets back to half guard.
Clement wants to control but Gomi is keeping busy.
Clement keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Gomi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Clement has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gomi is looking to defend but Clement has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gomi! Clement pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gomi taps out and this one is all over!

A very excited looking Jules Clement made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
