Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Byron Travis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabio Melo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Travis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Melo throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Travis counters by moving into the clinch.
Melo effectively controlling the action here.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Travis pushes off an throws an elbow but Melo leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Melo displaying some good clinch control by pressing Travis up against the cage.
Melo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Travis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Melo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Travis after a bit of a struggle.

Melo breaks from the clinch.

Melo moves into range and clinches up with Travis.

Travis drags the fight down to the ground.
Melo looking to sit in guard and control but Travis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Travis scoring with some ground and pound.
Travis with a flurry of punches that miss.
Travis is standing up over Melo. Melo looks to escape but Travis dives into side control.

Travis is working to tighten his grip on Melo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Melo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Travis is really squeezing tight and eventually Melo passes out! Travis breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
