Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenton Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horse Bucco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bucco pushes Hewitt up against the cage in a clinch.

Hewitt breaks from the clinch.
Hewitt tries to clinch up.
Hewitt dives in and grabs Bucco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bucco pushes down on Hewitt's head and hops out.
Hewitt tries to close the distance and clinch but Bucco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bucco looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Hewitt is pushing Bucco's head away, looking to escape. Bucco manages to hold on to the position though.

Bucco tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bucco has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bucco tries to move to mount but Hewitt blocks the move with his legs.

Horse Bucco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hewitt feints and as Bucco raises his hands in defense, Hewitt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hewitt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bucco's guard.
Hewitt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hewitt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bucco defends it well.

Bucco is stalling here. Hewitt is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bucco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hewitt has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bucco sneaks out the side door and pushes Hewitt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bucco takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Horse Bucco has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bucco throws a nice looking combination but Hewitt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bucco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hewitt sprawls well. Hewitt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bucco gets slowly back to his feet.

Bucco is taking a breather. Hewitt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bucco decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Hewitt counters with a left to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horse Bucco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hewitt gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bucco stalling in the clinch but Hewitt improves position.
Hewitt is trying to break the clinch but Bucco is controlling him.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Bucco fails to pull guard.

Hewitt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hewitt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hewitt controls Bucco momentarily but Bucco frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bucco gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Bucco counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Horse Bucco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
