PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitasu Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamezdin Shraf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hitasu Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jamezdin Shraf!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shraf swings for the body but Wu moves out of range.
Shraf misses with a straight right.

Shraf has Wu up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Shraf.
Shraf is trying to maintain a safe position but Wu gets an underhook and turns Shraf into the cage.
Shraf can't break the clinch.

Shraf gets control of Wu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shraf will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shraf is on top in guard.
Shraf prevents Wu from getting back to his feet.
Shraf seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shraf stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shraf passes Wu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Shraf stalling.
Shraf looks to land a strike but Wu avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Shraf decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Wu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hitasu Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wu is breathing heavily.
Wu slips under a jab from Shraf.
Hitasu Wu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shraf forces Wu back against the cage and clinches.
Shraf has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Shraf can't get the takedown.
Wu pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Shraf slowing the pace effectively.
Shraf is trying to pull guard but Wu has him pressed against the cage.
Hitasu Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamezdin Shraf.

Shraf manages to pull guard.
Wu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shraf on the ground.
Shraf is adopting a defensive guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shraf is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shraf advances position into side control!

Shraf in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Wu is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

After winning the bout, Jamezdin Shraf thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
