The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Doherty throws a lazy uppercut

and Galati counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Galati.

Galati pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
O Doherty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Galati manages to avoid it.
O Doherty keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
O Doherty just misses with a punch to the body.
O Doherty throws a poor cross that misses
and O Doherty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
O Doherty throws a big shot that misses.
O Doherty throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Pavel Galati has been cut.
O Doherty takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Galati closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Galati drops to a knee looking for a takedown but O Doherty gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Galati is trying to pull guard but O Doherty turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Galati. That's going to take a lot out of him.
O Doherty lands a right hand.
