The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Burns has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Burns throws the left hand but Gravity avoids the punch easily.

Gravity doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gravity.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gravity.
Gravity is looking to land body kicks.
Gravity's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Burns connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gravity scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Burns lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gravity pivots, looking for a leg kick but Burns is out of range and Gravity settles back down.

Burns missing with a left hand there. Gravity was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gravity attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gravity lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Burns has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Burns and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Gravity walks into a straight right hand from Burns.
Gravity takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gravity tried to score with a low kick but Burns checks it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Gravity.

Burns drops Gravity with a beautiful combination! Gravity stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Burns is looking for the KO!

Gravity is rocked!
BOOM! Burns lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gravity. Gravity tries to recover but Burns is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gravity lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derek Burns! Derek Burns retains his light heavyweight title!
Post fight, an emotional Derek Burns said 'Well that was fun! Gravity, I hope you get your senses back in time to hit my after party! I'll buy you a shot and give you an autograph. Maybe even let you hold my belt!'.
In defeat, Gary Gravity stepped up to the mic, saying 'Congrats man, you were the better fighter tonight. I will get you though, I promise that.'.
