PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and B A Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Coleman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Look me in my eyes. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryan Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, B A Ware!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware throws a wild body kick that Coleman sees coming a mile off.
Ware drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ware has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Coleman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like B A Ware has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We've been hearing good reports from Coleman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Ware's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

B A Ware showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ware throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ware slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Ware throws a left that rocks Coleman and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ware dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Coleman regain composure!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

B A Ware comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ware has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
