Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshiro Makamori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Waru Kuzuri!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuzuri takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A nice leg kick lands there from Kuzuri.
Kuzuri throws a series of strikes that have Makamori backpedaling.

It looks like Yoshiro Makamori has been cut.
Makamori throws a shot from downtown. Kuzuri moves away and avoids it.
Kuzuri walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Makamori checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Makamori shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kuzuri drops his hands momentarily and Makamori takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Waru Kuzuri has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Makamori has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuzuri misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Makamori.
Makamori misses with a kick to the body.
Makamori tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kuzuri was well out of range. Poor timing from Makamori.
A head kick misses from Makamori.
Kuzuri thows a body shot but no joy.

Makamori moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Makamori clinches up against the cage.
Kuzuri's coach down at Cell Block Six was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kuzuri's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Still in the clinch, Makamori scores with a nice short uppercut.

Kuzuri breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Donk. Makamori catches Kuzuri right on the button with a cross.

A head kick lands from Makamori that sends Kuzuri to the canvas. Kuzuri tries to scramble back to his feet but Makamori brings him back down into side control.

Makamori is trying to get an arm triangle but Kuzuri is defending well.

Makamori tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Makamori has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Makamori swings around for an armbar but Kuzuri sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Makamori's guard.

Makamori is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Makamori has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kuzuri has passed into side control.
Makamori tries to improve position but can't.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Makamori gets back to half guard.

Makamori wants to get back to his feet but Kuzuri is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kuzuri controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kuzuri wants to pass the guard but Makamori is keeping the position.

Kuzuri tries to free his leg and advance position but Makamori is retaining full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Waru Kuzuri wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kuzuri thuds his shin into the meat of Makamori's side.
Nice body punch from Kuzuri.
Waru Kuzuri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuzuri slips under a jab from Makamori.
Makamori tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kuzuri fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Makamori is out of range.
Makamori lands an overhand right.
Makamori throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kuzuri lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kuzuri throws a wild body kick that Makamori sees coming a mile off.
Makamori avoids the body shot from Kuzuri.
Makamori's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kuzuri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Makamori scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuzuri connects with a good right hand that stumbles Makamori. Makamori circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fight stays on the outside here - Makamori looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kuzuri misses with a straight right.
Kuzuri moves out of range of the strikes.
Makamori misses with a low kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Makamori.
Kuzuri throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Makamori takes one to the chin there.
Kuzuri wants to slow Makamori down by chopping away at his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yoshiro Makamori dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kuzuri throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kuzuri fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Makamori looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Makamori counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Makamori is working for a kimura but Kuzuri is defending it quite comfortably.

Makamori seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kuzuri is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Yoshiro Makamori decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
