Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Efren Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arus Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fletcher has chosen Gregorian Chant as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Efren Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arus Fletcher!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles shoots in looking for a takedown but Fletcher manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Charles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Charles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fletcher's waist but Fletcher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Charles off to one side.
Fletcher throws a head kick but Charles moves out of range.
Fletcher misses with a body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fletcher.
Fletcher looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Charles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fletcher manages to avoid it.
Fletcher throws a wild body kick that Charles sees coming a mile off.
Charles fails in his attempt to clinch.
Charles shoots in looking for a takedown. Fletcher tries to sprawl out of it but Charles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fletcher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efren Charles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Charles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Charles tries for a takedown but Fletcher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Both fighters circling a little - Fletcher finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Charles shoots in for a double leg but Fletcher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fletcher fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Charles checks it well.

Fletcher misses with an elbow over the top.
Fletcher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Charles is defending well for now.
Charles is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Charles trying to control the position but instead, Fletcher has worked for underhooks and has pushed Charles into the cage.
Fletcher misses with a punch to the body.

Charles avoids a wild elbow strike from Fletcher.
Fletcher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Charles has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fletcher misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Charles.
Charles blocks an elbow strike.
Fletcher looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Fletcher struggles to land a body shot inside as Charles controls his hands.
Fletcher is pressed up against the cage. Charles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fletcher down to the mat. Fletcher avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fletcher throws a sloppy head kick and Charles moves out of range easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fletcher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Charles.

Horrible takedown by Charles or perhaps it was just good defense by Fletcher which made him look bad.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fletcher fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Charles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's time! Charles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Charles has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fletcher.
Fletcher throws an overhand right that lands on Charles's shoulder, as Charles tries to avoid the shot.

Charles will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Fletcher throws a low kick, looking for Charles's leg but Charles calmly moves out of range.
Charles shoots in but Fletcher avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Fletcher lands with a kick to the temple. Charles shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Fletcher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well Fletcher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
