The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cartwright eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Cartwright moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
Cartwright looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Smith blocks a body shot from Cartwright.
Cartwright tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.
Smith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cartwright backwards.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Smith tries a body shot but Cartwright blocks it.
Smith unloads a knee to the mid-section.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cartwright is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.
Smith pushes Cartwright back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Smith goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Smith lands a hook to the side of the head.
Smith misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A bit of stalling here from Smith.
Smith works on Cartwright's body with a couple of short punches.
Cartwright looks winded!

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Smith lands a left and a right that send Cartwright crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cartwright is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
OH! Cartwright has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Smith smells blood and charges in for the finish! Smith unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Cartwright sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Devon Smith!
A relieved looking Devon Smith thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Cavan Cartwright spoke after the fight, saying 'I gave it my best. I will find a way to do better next time.'.
