Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robt Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Osvaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Osvaldo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Robt Riley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robt Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pablo Osvaldo!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Osvaldo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Riley's half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Osvaldo is thwarting Riley's attempts to control the position.
Riley wants to get back to full guard.
Osvaldo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Osvaldo wants to stand but Riley has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Riley wants to control but Osvaldo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Osvaldo in particular looking to stall.
Riley is pressing down on Osvaldo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Osvaldo wants to get up but he can't break Riley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Riley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Pablo Osvaldo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Osvaldo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Riley to the ground. Osvaldo is now in Riley's guard.
Riley is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Riley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Osvaldo is aware though and is defending well.

Osvaldo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Osvaldo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Riley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Osvaldo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like Osvaldo is going to stand back up.

Osvaldo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Riley is just riding it out for now. Osvaldo eventually gives up the hold.
Osvaldo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Riley's head.
Riley manages to get to full guard.
Osvaldo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Osvaldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Osvaldo is working for a kimura but Riley is defending it quite comfortably.
Riley wants to get back to full guard but Osvaldo has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Osvaldo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Pablo Osvaldo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Osvaldo defending well as Riley loads up on a big left hand.
Riley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Osvaldo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riley somewhat.
Riley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Osvaldo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Let's hope that Osvaldo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Riley is trying to improve his position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osvaldo is looking to take a break and control but Riley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Riley gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Riley is desperately trying to improve his position but Osvaldo has a good base and remains in mount.
Riley regains half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Osvaldo uses his free foot to push down on Riley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Riley.

Riley can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Osvaldo working for a submission but Riley is keeping him at bay.
Osvaldo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Osvaldo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Osvaldo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Riley can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley throws a strike from the bottom but Osvaldo uses the opportunity to take his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pablo Osvaldo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Osvaldo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Riley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Osvaldo jumps guard and drags Riley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Osvaldo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Osvaldo lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Osvaldo is trying to control the position but Riley postures up.
Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Osvaldo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Riley's guard.
Riley controls Osvaldo momentarily but Osvaldo frees himself.

Riley is striking but Osvaldo is not phased and passes to half guard.
Riley is trying to maintain the position but Osvaldo is very close to passing his half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Osvaldo connects with a nice short shot to Riley's temple.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Osvaldo tries to free his leg and advance position but Riley is retaining full guard.
Osvaldo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Riley keeping moving, preventing Osvaldo from controlling successfully.

Osvaldo stands and throws Riley's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Riley wants to control but Osvaldo postures up.
Riley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Check out the look on Osvaldo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Riley on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Osvaldo tries to stand but Riley is controlling his head.
Osvaldo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Riley's shoulder. That is not cool.

Riley tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Osvaldo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Osvaldo lands a big shot there that rocks Riley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Robt Riley has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riley tries to control Osvaldo's body but Osvaldo pushes him off. Riley squirms to his side and now Osvaldo has his back!
Oh Riley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Osvaldo lands a series of strikes from the back and Riley goes limp! The ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pablo Osvaldo!
