PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Gorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bzu Chu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gorman comes to the cage accompanied by Pinned Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Gorman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bzu Chu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gorman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chu throws out the jab.
Gorman slips a jab from Chu.
Chu digs a good body shot into Gorman's ribs.
Gorman lands with a nice combination. Chu backs away looking to recover.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Chu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gorman circles away quickly and effectively.
Some wild striking there from Chu.
Chu misses with the combination.
Gorman slips a straight right by Chu.
Gorman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chu on the side of the head.
Chu tries to bum rush Gorman with a series of wild strikes but Gorman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gorman scores with a jab to the jaw.
Chu tries a head kick but it misses.
Bzu Chu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gorman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Chu misses with a looping right.
Gorman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chu jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Gorman darts in and clinches Chu up against the cage.
Gorman pushes Chu back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chu wants a takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gorman throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chus head.
Chu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gorman walks away with a smile on his face. Chu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gorman darts in and clinches Chu up against the cage.
Gorman lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chu backwards.
Chu looks winded!
Chu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Glen Gorman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bzu Chu.
Gorman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gorman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Gorman.
A right handed body shot lands from Gorman.
Chu is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A short uppercut from Gorman.
Chu managing to block the knees to the body from Gorman.
A short right from Gorman on the inside.
A right hook to the body lands for Gorman.
Gorman gets through Chu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gorman with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Gorman stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Still in the clinch, Gorman scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gorman lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Gorman drops Chu with a big knee straight up the middle! Chu is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Chu is rocked!


It looks like Bzu Chu has been cut.
Chu gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Gorman points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Chu wakes up just in time to hear Gorman thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Glen Gorman!
After the big win, Glen Gorman made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Thrifty Threads and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
