Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Heyat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Floyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Heyat!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floyd misses with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Floyd. Heyat does a little dance to reset his feet.
Floyd slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Gabriel Heyat has been cut.
Heyat has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Floyd.
Heyat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Floyd makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Floyd throws a half hearted mid kick.
Heyat takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Floyd connects with a good right hand that stumbles Heyat. Heyat circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Floyd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Heyat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Heyat takes a little break here. Floyd wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee asks Heyat politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Heyat prefers to stall for the moment though.

Floyd fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Heyat.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Heyat steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Floyd. That one must have hurt.
Floyd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heyat.
Heyat rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Floyd moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Heyat stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Floyd.
Floyd fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Heyat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Floyd but Floyd pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Floyd feints and then cracks Heyat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Heyat down.
Heyat has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Floyd.
Floyd scores with a kick to the midsection.
Heyat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Crunch! Floyd slams his shin into Heyat's torso.

Heyat moves out of range as Floyd throws a body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Floyd slips a jab from Heyat.
Heyat's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Floyd lands a head kick. Heyat smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Floyd throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That kick from Floyd tenderised Heyat's leg. Heyat is trying to keep his angry face on.

Floyd fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Heyat.
Floyd thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Heyat if he has to take too many more of those.
Good leg kick by Floyd there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Heyat thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gabriel Heyat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Floyd bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Heyat's head.
John Floyd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Floyd.
Heyat shoots in for a double leg but Floyd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Floyd stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Heyat sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gabriel Heyat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Floyd lands with a straight right. Heyat didn't see that one coming.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Floyd showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Floyd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
