Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Putski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bodyslam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Bodyslam will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Putski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Bodyslam!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bodyslam closes the distance looking to clinch
and Putski counters by clinching up.
Bodyslam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Good leg kick by Bodyslam there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Putski loads up on a big right hand but Bodyslam slips the punch.
Bodyslam tries to close the distance and clinch but Putski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bodyslam is looking to clinch but Putski is avoiding it.
Bodyslam tries to bum rush Putski with a series of wild strikes but Putski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bodyslam slips a jab from Putski.
A telegraphed right hand from Putski misses the target.
Bodyslam takes a swing at Putski's ribcage but misses.
Putski clinches.
Bodyslam has Putski pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bodyslam pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Putski tumbling to the mat - Bodyslam dives into Putski's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Putski keeping moving, preventing Bodyslam from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Putski wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Putski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bodyslam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Putski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bodyslam is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bodyslam sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Putski has his foot on Bodyslam's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bodyslam works his way back into a safe position though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Putski looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bodyslam is defending well. Putski quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bodyslam has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Putski celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Putski!
Our winner, Ivan Putski, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
