Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Putnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yakubu Okoroji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putnam kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is tap out. Ronnie Putnam has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoroji takes a swing at Putnam's ribcage but misses.
Putnam tries to clinch there but Okoroji circles away.
Putnam lands a leg kick that knocks Okoroji off balance momentarily.
Putnam shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Okoroji sprawls well. Okoroji wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Putnam gets slowly back to his feet.
Putnam fails in his attempt to clinch.
Putnam moves forwards but Okoroji connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Putnam tries to bum rush Okoroji with a series of wild strikes but Okoroji uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Putnam misses with an uppercut. Okoroji saw that one coming.
Okoroji fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Putnam finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Okoroji gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Yakubu Okoroji has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okoroji connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Putnam's hands.
Putnam throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Putnam scores with a one two! Okoroji had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Okoroji shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Okoroji was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Okoroji is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Putnam is trying to escape and Okoroji transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Putnam is forced to tap! Nice work there by Okoroji! Very nice indeed!
