Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Berzins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taj Yaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Josh Berzins has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Josh Berzins seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaya stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yaya wants it to stay on the feet.
Berzins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Yaya defends well and Berzins ends up having to push Yaya into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Yaya creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Berzins's defenses.
It looks like Josh Berzins has been cut.
Yaya unloads a knee to the mid-section. Berzins lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Yaya lands an elbow inside that Berzins shrugs off.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Yaya.
Yaya is pressed up against the cage. Berzins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yaya down to the mat. Yaya avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Berzins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berzins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yaya defends it nicely.
Yaya has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Berzins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yaya circles away.
Berzins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Berzins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yaya pinned against the cage. Yaya gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Berzins misses with a takedown attempt - Yaya sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Berzins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Taj Yaya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Berzins on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Yaya. Yaya obviously looking to wear him down.

Berzins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yaya's waist but Yaya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Berzins off to one side.
Yaya takes the fight into the clinch.
Berzins is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Yaya scores with a knee to the head.
Josh Berzins's cut is getting worse.
Yaya gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Berzins.

Berzins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yaya smiles and moves away.

and Yaya counters with a stiff right hand.
Yaya throws a leg kick but Berzins moved away.
Berzins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Yaya counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice takedown defense from Yaya. No joy for Berzins on that attempt.
Berzins has a takedown stuffed.

Yaya keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Berzins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Berzins has been working on his balance at Soul Supremacy - UK, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Yaya.
Yaya misses with a jab, cross combination.
Josh Berzins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Berzins swats away the attempt to clinch by Yaya.
Yaya is looking to clinch but Berzins is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taj Yaya dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Berzins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Yaya quickly recovers to half guard.
Berzins wants to take a breather but Yaya is having none of it.
Berzins is trying to work for a kimura but Yaya is defending well.
Yaya wants to control but Berzins is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berzins in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Yaya tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Berzins!
