Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mendoza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mora throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mendoza was covering up waiting for the punch and Mora finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mora must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mendoza is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mora is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mora looking to sit in guard and control but Mendoza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mora can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mora is working an open guard so Mendoza takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mora keeps the fight on the outside.
Mora closes the distance and clinches.
Mora tightens his grip and picks Mendoza up, before dumping him to the ground. Mendoza manages to land in guard.

Mora tries to free his leg and advance position but Mendoza is retaining full guard.

David Mora has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Mendoza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mora wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mendoza, who protects the arm well.
Mendoza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mora is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mendoza is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Mendoza's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mendoza gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Mendoza is squirming around, avoiding Mora's attempts to control the action.

Mora is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mendoza can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mendoza is in a horrible position here. Mora smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Mendoza is rocked!
Mora postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Mendoza badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Mora around the waist but Mora pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Mora is the winner by TKO! Mora jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Mora!
