PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shake Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juliano Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts comes to the cage accompanied by Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Villar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Prophet by Soulfly. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shake Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juliano Villar!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villar swings widly with a right hand
and Roberts counters with a good low kick that Villar was not able to check.
Villar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Roberts seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Villar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Roberts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Villar is working away from the top position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Villar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Roberts stacks Villar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Roberts!

Roberts throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Villar sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Villar has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Roberts to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Villar is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Roberts pulls down on the head and he's put Villar to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Shake Roberts!
