Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lassi Lambada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arial Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lassi Lambada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arial Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lambada.

Lambada scores with a takedown into Jones's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jones controls Lambada momentarily but Lambada frees himself.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've been hearing good reports from Lambada's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Jones winds up and cracks Lambada with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jones is taking a breather. Lambada says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Arial Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jones tries to work over Lambada's front leg with a kick but Lambada checks it.
Lambada feints a jab promting Jones to slip. Lambada then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jones slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Lambada wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lambada shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Lambada keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lambada looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A telegraphed right hand from Lambada misses the target.

Lambada manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jones on his heels. He'll look to pass Jones's guard now, I'm sure.

Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lambada doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lambada manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lambada wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
Jones has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Lambada is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That kick from Jones tenderised Lambada's leg. Lambada is trying to keep his angry face on.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones.

Lambada is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.
Jones won't allow Lambada to pass to mount.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Lambada is very close to passing his half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lambada seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.

Jones shoots in and drives through. Lambada sprawls well.

Arial Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lambada gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lambada will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jones is looking to land body kicks.
Both fighters circling a little - Jones finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lambada moves out of range of the leg kick from Jones.
Lambada is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Lambada dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Lambada's head and hops out.
Lambada on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones.
Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lambada gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jones.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Lambada tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lambada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lassi Lambada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arial Jones.
Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lambada's sensitive parts.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arial Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
