Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isaias Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Wallis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Moonlight Sonata. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Monroe tries to kick Wallis off but Wallis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Monroe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wallis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Monroe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wallis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monroe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Monroe has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Wallis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Wallis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Wallis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wallis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pete Wallis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Monroe throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wallis was covering up waiting for the punch and Monroe finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Monroe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wallis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Monroe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Monroe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Monroe stands and steps away. Wallis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wallis looks to land a combination. Monroe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Isaias Monroe has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pete Wallis will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wallis misses with a few strikes there.

Wallis closes the distance and clinches.

Wallis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wallis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Monroe to the ground. Wallis is now in Monroe's guard.

Monroe has his foot on Wallis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wallis works his way back into a safe position though.

Wallis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Monroe is proving hard to escape from.
Wallis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Monroe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wallis is looking to stand up but Monroe won't let him.
Wallis postures up and lands a big shot to Monroe's brow.
Monroe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wallis!
Poor strikes thrown by Monroe there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Monroe throws a sloppy strike and Wallis uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Wallis has ended up in Monroe's guard.

Monroe is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Wallis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wallis closes the distance and clinches.
Still in the clinch, Wallis scores with a nice short uppercut.
Wallis has Monroe pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Monroe is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Wallis - that's hurt Monroe badly! Oh, another knee lands and Monroe is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Monroe doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Pete Wallis!
