The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hwang throws a lazy head kick
and Hwang takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hwang throws a leg kick

and Meyers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Hwang makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Meyers tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hwang defends well and Meyers ends up having to push Hwang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hwang breaks the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Meyers crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hwang - the referee stops the clock and Meyers gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hwang. Meyers manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hwang lands a nice looking body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hwang moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Meyers tries to bum rush Hwang with a series of wild strikes but Hwang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hwang throws a wild body kick that Meyers sees coming a mile off.
Hwang lands a nice looking kick to the body. Meyers takes a step back to recover.
Hwang lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Rogelio Meyers has been cut.
Hwang throws a head kick that misses.
Hwang connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Meyers moves out of range of the body kick.
Hwang throws a head kick that half lands.
Hwang throws a head kick that Meyers semi-blocks.

Meyers is rocked!
Hwang lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Meyers crumples to the floor! Hwang milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
