Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roderick Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phang Prahang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phang Prahang!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prahang misses with a head kick.
Prahang walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Woodward checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Woodward decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Prahang's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prahang can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Prahang is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woodward is controlling him.

Prahang closes the distance and clinches up with Woodward, looking for a takedown. Prahang pushes Woodward against the cage but Woodward circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Woodward really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woodward throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Prahang because Woodward loaded up on that one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Prahang takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Woodward counters by moving into the clinch.
Prahang is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Prahang.
Woodward jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Prahang walks away with a smile on his face. Woodward gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Woodward takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Prahang shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Woodward counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Woodward.

Woodward is trying to drag Prahang to the mat but Prahang just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Phang Prahang hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
