Paulsen has chosen Beyond the Permafrost as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Knut Paulsen has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Paulsen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Paulsen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blinge throws a hook but Paulsen blocks it.
Andray Blinge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paulsen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blinge.

Paulsen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blinge is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Paulsen. That's going to slow Blinge down.
Blinge tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Paulsen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blinge misses with a looping left.

Paulsen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Blinge to the ground. Paulsen is now in Blinge's guard.
Blinge wants to stand and escape but Paulsen is having none of it.
Paulsen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blinge works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Paulsen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Paulsen wants to control from the top but Blinge keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blinge has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Knut Paulsen was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Blinge looks to land a right hand but Paulsen moved out of range.

Blinge darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Paulsen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Blinge wants to get back to striking at distance but Paulsen won't allow it.
Paulsen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Blinge is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A frustrated look appears on Blinge's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Blinge on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Blinge wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blinge tries to work over Paulsen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Paulsen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Paulsen wants to stall.
A nice right hand lands inside from Paulsen.
A short uppercut from Paulsen.

Paulsen pulls guard successfully.

Paulsen is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Blinge frees his head nicely. Oh but Paulsen has switched to an armbar! Blinge is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
