The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder moves out of range as Kwon throws a body kick.
Kwon throws a head kick but Wilder moves out of range.
Kwon scores with a head kick.
Kwon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wilder looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kwon!
Wilder lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kwon down.

Wilder cracks Kwon with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Wilder looks up at the clock and then as Kwon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wilder smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kwon parries the strikes from Wilder easily there. Wilder is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kwon to escape.
Kwon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wilder's best efforts.

Kwon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilder's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilder's back!
Our spies down at at Cozad MMA St Petersburg inform us that Kwon has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Wilder just trying to survive but Kwon is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilder tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kwon is landing with some decent strikes but Wilder is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Wilder is trying desperately to improve position.
Wilder wants to hold on but Kwon pushes him away.

Kwon is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wilder is surviving well by controlling Kwon's body position as best he can.
Wilder is in a horrible position here. Kwon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kwon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wilder to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wilder shrugs it off.
Kwon blocks Wilder's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Kwon lands a nice shot to the head.
Kwon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wilder has left one of his arms exposed and Kwon doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Wilder screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
