Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tenho Tuisku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Byrne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrne tries to close the distance and clinch but Tuisku swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Byrne has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tuisku is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Byrne walks into a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Byrne. Tuisku does a little dance to reset his feet.
Byrne doesn't manage to clinch there - Tuisku circles away.
Tuisku looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tuisku scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Tuisku's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Byrne takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Byrne moves in looking to clinch but Tuisku pushes him off.

Byrne lands a nice hook to Tuisku's body. Tuisku takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Tenho Tuisku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Byrne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tuisku to score with a decent uppercut.

Tuisku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Byrne connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tuisku scrambles back to his feet.

and Tuisku counters with a huge left! Byrne is in big trouble! He's backing up but Tuisku isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Byrne from any more damage. A dominating finish by Tuisku!
