The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson connects with the punch.

Karlsson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karlsson wants it to stay on the feet.

Chabal manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Karlsson on his heels. He'll look to pass Karlsson's guard now, I'm sure.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Karlsson lands a big right hand that sends Chabal crashing to the mat! Karlsson stays standing though and waves Chabal back to his feet!

Chabal is rocked!
Chabal drops his hands momentarily. Karlsson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Chabal staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Chabal doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
