PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noam Chomsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sokka comes into the arena with Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter blaring out of the sound system. Chomsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. System Of A Down - Sugar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Antti Sokka has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Antti Sokka seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antti Sokka!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Noam Chomsky!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chomsky blocks the body kick.
Sokka misses with a wild body shot.
Sokka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chomsky cracks Sokka with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Chomsky misses with a straight left.

Sokka cracks the inside of Chomsky's front leg.
Sokka feints and then cracks Chomsky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chomsky down.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chomsky has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sokka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chomsky moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chomsky turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chomsky manages to end up in side control.
The referee asks Chomsky politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chomsky prefers to stall for the moment though.

Sokka is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Chomsky screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noam Chomsky! Noam Chomsky retains his middleweight title!
Noam Chomsky bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
