Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Brody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lionel Matias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matias has chosen Himno nacional argentino as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matias misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A big right from Brody misses.
Brody misses with a hook.

Brody fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Matias looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Matias uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brody.
Brody moves into range and connects with a jab.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matias tries to clinch but Brody moves out of range.
Brody throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brody's corner calls for a 1-2. Brody obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Brody is pressed up against the cage. Matias has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brody down to the mat. Brody avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've been told by Brody's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brody is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Matias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brody paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Matias loads up on a big right hand but Brody slips the punch.

and Brody scores with a counter punch that sends Matias to the canvas! Brody smells blood - he's punishing Matias with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Matias has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
