The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark gets a clinch.
Stark lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Herring or not.
Herring jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stark walks away with a smile on his face. Herring gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Stark clinches with his opponent.
Herring is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stark is defending well.
Herring is working for takedown but Stark is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Esteban Herring. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stark breaks the clinch.

Stark pulls Herring into guard.
Herring won't allow Stark to sweep him here.
Herring is fighting to break Stark's control of his arms but Stark is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Robb Stark has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Stark misses with a two punch combination.
Stark lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That kick from Stark tenderised Herring's leg. Herring is trying to keep his angry face on.

Stark jumps guard and drags Herring to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stark lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Herring!

Stark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stark swats away the attempt to clinch by Herring.

Stark drags the fight down to the ground.
Herring postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Herring missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Herring accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Stark manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stark tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Stark thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stark get's back to his feet.
Stark throws a series of punches but Herring moves out of range.

Stark moves into the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Stark.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A nice right hand lands inside from Stark.
Stark lands an elbow inside.
Herring tries to pull guard but Stark holds him up against the cage and eventually Herring drops back down to his feet.

Stark stalls.
Stark gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Herring tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stark just stands there and leans against the cage.
Herring takes an elbow to the forehead.

Esteban Herring's cut is getting worse.
Stark pressing his opponent against the cage.
Herring tries to circle away but Stark has him pinned against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stark.

Stark decides to pull guard.
Herring throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Herring is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Stark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Stark content to control rather than advance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Robb Stark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stark has Herring up against the cage in a clinch.
Herring has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stark is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
