Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Dough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Tajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dough's entrance music is First of the year. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Yoshihiro Tajiri enters the ring!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dough shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tajiri pinned against the ropes. Tajiri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dough shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tajiri shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dough is trying to defend but Tajiri finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dough's coaches at TOUGH DOJO-Family Dojo for best result have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Tajiri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dough's head.

Tajiri decides to stand and escape the position.
Tajiri throws a sloppy head kick and Dough moves out of range easily.
Tajiri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dough as he jumps to the side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dough dives in and grabs Tajiri's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tajiri pushes down on Dough's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Dough. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dough drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dough tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dough has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tajiri tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Tajiri is trying to get back to his feet.
Tajiri can't do much from the bottom here.

Dough is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tajiri is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dough will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dough wants to stand but Tajiri is controlling his arm.
Tajiri wants to get back to his feet.
Tajiri is trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tajiri is not content to let Dough control the position.
Dough really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tajiri is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dough is controlling him well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dough is looking to take a break and control but Tajiri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dough has hold of Tajiri's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tajiri tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Dough cranks the arm and Tajiri screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tajiri, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
