Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robb Stark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cory Rua!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Stark.
Rua circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rua counters with a single leg into guard. Stark didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Rua throws a big elbow that misses.
Stark wants to sweep but no luck.

Rua wants to control from the top but Stark keeps moving.
Rua is in close to Stark's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Stark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stark is looking to stand up but Rua isn't so interested in that idea.
Rua has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rua is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Rua is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stark is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stark has escaped and now he's on top!
Rua looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rua keeping moving, preventing Stark from controlling successfully.
Stark tries to free his leg and advance position but Rua is retaining full guard.
Stark works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rua makes his way to full guard, as Stark worked for a kimura.
Stark wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving.
Rua uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Stark tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Stark.
Rua drops Stark with a left right combo! Rua follows him down to the ground into side control.
Stark is rocked!
It looks like Robb Stark has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rua lands a few punches from side control.
Oh Stark is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Stark is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Rua can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cory Rua!
