Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Rasputin !
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin misses with a takedown attempt - Do sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Do rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rasputin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rasputin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rasputin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Do.
Rasputin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Do sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A punch combination from Do misses.

and Do counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Will Do has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Rasputin .

Do slaps away a takedown attempt from Rasputin , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Do throws a right and a left that Rasputin avoids nicely.

Rasputin has his foot on Do's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Do works his way back into a safe position though.
We've been hearing good reports from Do's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Do wants to get up but he can't break Rasputin 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sloppy strikes from Do. Those never looked like landing.
Rasputin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Do is fending him off so far but Rasputin persists. Nope, Do circles away and we're back to standing.
Do leaves Rasputin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Do throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rasputin .
Do throws a sloppy head kick and Rasputin moves out of range easily.

Will Do has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Rasputin .
Do throws a series of punches but Rasputin avoids them all with ease.
Horrible takedown by Rasputin or perhaps it was just good defense by Do which made him look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rasputin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Do ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rasputin moves away.
Rasputin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Piotr Rasputin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasputin goes for a double leg but Do avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Do continues to drive forward.
Do prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rasputin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Do gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Do breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Do counters with a single leg into guard. Rasputin didn't expect that.
Rasputin is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Do wanted to stand there but Rasputin had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Do controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Piotr Rasputin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Rasputin is looking to get back to full guard here but Do has managed to pass to side control instead.
Will Do overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Do tries to stand but Rasputin is controlling his head.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Do has control of an arm but Rasputin manages to advance to Do's back!

Do covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Do looking very determined here, making life difficult for Rasputin .

Rasputin is looking for a choke. Do gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Do manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Rasputin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Do defends it easily.
Do is looking to stand up but Rasputin won't let him.

Do stopping the sweep attempt from Rasputin .

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Will Do.
I think Do has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
