Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dark Evil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sata has chosen Onward to Victory! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sata fails with an attempt to clinch.
Evil gets the takedown into side control.
Sata is looking for a sweep.
We've been hearing that Evil has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Evil lands some shots froms side control.
Sata gets back to half guard.
Evil is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sata sees it coming and defends easily.
Evil wants to free his trapped foot but Sata is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Sata is looking for a sweep. Evil is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sata manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Evil drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sata looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sata looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sata!

Evil can't do much from the bottom here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evil holds on to Sata's head and controls the position momentarily.
Evil is looking for a sweep.

Sata is looking to take a break and control but Evil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Evil tries to buck Sata off but Sata is having none of it.

Evil is pressing down on Sata's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Sata lands a couple of elbows.
Sata cracks Evil with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Evil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sata postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sata must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Evil is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sata wants to pass the guard but Evil is keeping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Evil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sata's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Akiro Sata will probably get the nod.

Sata jabs Evil right on the nose. Evil blinks but takes it well.
Sata has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A swing and a miss from Sata.
Evil takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sata drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sata trying to control the position but Evil is working away.
Sata lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Evil down.
Evil is looking for a sweep.
Evil manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Evil pulls Sata in close to his closed guard and prevents Sata from doing any damage or advancing position.

Evil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sata gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Evil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sata can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sata sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Evil's guard.
Sata tries to pass to full mount but Evil defends it.

Sata wants to control from the top but Evil keeps moving.
Sata works over Evil with some ground and pound from guard.
Akiro Sata has got the better of the ground game so far.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Evil is on top in guard.
Sata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Evil doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Evil manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sata lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evil!
Evil takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Evil is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Evil is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Evil is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Evil is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sata is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Evil is looking to improve his position but Sata isn't that keen on the idea.
Evil seems to have got his legs back now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sata has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Evil is forced to tap!
