Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Rymar!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Power waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rymar.

Rymar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rymar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Power sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Power is looking to regain half guard here but Rymar keeps moving and retains side control.
Rymar is trying to ground and pound but Power uses the momentary lack of control by Rymar to regain half guard.
Rymar missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Rymar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Power. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rymar is thwarting Power's attempts to control the position.
Rymar wants to pass to mount but Power is defending the position.
Rymar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Power trying to control from the bottom.

Power looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Power wants to control but Rymar is keeping busy.
Power taking some punishment here, with Rymar in his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rymar.
Rymar wants to pass to mount but Power is defending the position.
Power is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rymar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Power is trying to control but can't.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rymar connects with a nice short shot to Power's temple.
Rymar stalling.
Rymar is looking to stall here but Power recovers full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rymar landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rymar stands up over Power, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Power is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rymar postures up in Power's guard and throws a big left but Power blocks it.

Power is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rymar has his hands clasped together but Power extends and breaks Rymar's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Power.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Fred Power!
