Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cullen Castrello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castrello has chosen Like 70 as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cullen Castrello!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castrello stuffs the takedown.
Chandler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castrello circles away.
Chandler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castrello.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Castrello.
Chandler shoots for a double leg takedown but Castrello sprawls well. He's pushed Chandler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Chandler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chandler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castrello is fending him off so far but Chandler persists. Nope, Castrello circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryan Chandler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chandler is defended easily by Castrello.
Chandler shoots in looking for a takedown. Castrello tries to sprawl out of it but Chandler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Castrello manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Castrello keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Castrello is pressed up against the cage. Chandler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castrello down to the mat. Castrello avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Castrello, right into the meat.
Chandler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Castrello throws a right and a left that Chandler avoids nicely.
Chandler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castrello as he avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chandler.
An inside leg kick lands from Castrello.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chandler.
Castrello lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nice shot lands for Castrello.
Castrello has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Castrello is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Castrello fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Chandler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Castrello defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chandler.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chandler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Castrello prevents it.

Castrello cracks Chandler with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.


Chandler is rocked!
Castrello steps in with a hook that catches Chandler right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Castrello follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Chandler looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cullen Castrello!
An out of breath Cullen Castrello thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
