The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog stalks Norris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Norris's face. Norris staggers backwards, shaken.
Norris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norris seems to be working for a kimura but Herzog defends the submission attempt.
Herzog works his way to full guard. Good work.
Norris forces his way into half guard.
Norris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Herzog does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Norris is looking for a kimura but Herzog is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Norris to get the leverage.

Herzog controls Norris momentarily but Norris frees himself.

Herzog sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Herzog wants to improve his position but Norris is controlling well.
Norris is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Herzog is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
