Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloysius Martin Thesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rock You Like a Hurricane. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thesz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Almeida sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thesz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Almeida manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Thesz.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Thesz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thesz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Almeida is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Thesz just content to control the position.

Almeida seems to have recovered his senses.
Even with his hooks in, Thesz manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Thesz has the hooks in. Almeida is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Thesz controlling the positon.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Thesz's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Thesz has got one arm under Almeida's chin. This could be trouble... Almeida trying to control the other hand but Thesz gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Almeida has tapped out! The fight is over!
