Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Howe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Price!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Price wants it to stay on the feet.

Price moves into the clinch.
Howe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Price is trying to trip Howe. He has hold of a leg but Howe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Price persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Price stands up over Howe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Howe wants to stand but Price is controlling the position.
Price postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Price must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Price scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Price pushes down on Howe's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Price connects with a nice short shot to Howe's temple.
Howe pushes Price off looking to stand but Price dives back in and keeps control.

Price is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Howe has managed to free his arm - good work.
Price tries to pass the half guard into mount. Howe knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Price winds up and cracks Howe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Price working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Howe wants to get back to full guard.
Price passes the guard and advances to mount!

Daniel Price was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
