Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Talley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kelleher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Kelleher has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sandy Talley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sandy Talley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Kelleher!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kelleher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Talley, pushing him back against the cage.
Talley jumps guard but Kelleher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Talley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kelleher manages to break the clinch.
Talley slips a jab and a cross from Kelleher.

Talley looking to score a takedown here. Kelleher is defending well but Talley drives through and ends up in Kelleher's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Talley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kelleher has his foot on Talley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Talley works his way back into a safe position though.
Kelleher trying to keep a closed guard but Talley is proving a slippery customer.

Kelleher is working an open guard so Talley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Kelleher clinches up against the cage.
Talley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kelleher to keep the fight standing.
Kelleher lands a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Talley turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Talley manages to end up in side control.
Kelleher is looking for a sweep.
Kelleher is trying to get back to his feet.

Talley decides to stand back up.
Kelleher throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kelleher clinches up with Talley and pushes him back against the cage.

Talley manages to pull guard.
Talley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kelleher is one step ahead there.
Talley is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kelleher dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelleher scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Talley to see if he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Talley throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Kelleher closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Talley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kelleher wants to get back to full guard.
Kelleher is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Talley jumps into side control!
Talley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Talley is putting a hurting on Kelleher here, landing some big shots from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Talley decides to stand back up. Talley steps back and let's Kelleher get back to his feet.
Mark Kelleher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelleher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Talley circles away quickly and effectively.
Kelleher throws a left and a right that both miss
and Talley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kelleher throws a jab but it's blocked by Talley.
Kelleher misses with a jab, cross combination.

Kelleher moves into the clinch successfully.
Kelleher prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandy Talley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee calls for Talley to work.

Kelleher has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Talley regains guard immediately.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kelleher would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Talley keeping moving, preventing Kelleher from controlling successfully.
Kelleher is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Talley is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Talley gets control of Kelleher's arms and successfully pulls guard. Talley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sandy Talley will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kelleher closes the distance and lands a one-two.


Talley is rocked!


It looks like Sandy Talley has been cut.
Kelleher dances in with a quick combination. Talley is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Kelleher snaps Talley's head back. Talley stumbles backwards against the cage. Kelleher steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Talley's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Talley just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Kelleher!
A very excited looking Mark Kelleher rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
