Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walter White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prodigy Steel Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White's entrance music is Crystal Blue Persuasion. A fine choice. Walter White has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walter White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Prodigy Steel Penn!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn walks forward, straight into a front kick from White.

Steel Penn drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steel Penn wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.
White keeping moving, preventing Steel Penn from controlling successfully.

White has his foot on Steel Penn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Steel Penn works his way back into a safe position though.
Steel Penn is pushing down on White's leg trying to pass to half guard. White is fighting to maintain full guard but Steel Penn has managed to sneak the leg through.
White won't allow Steel Penn to pass to mount.

Steel Penn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but White sees it coming and defends easily.
Steel Penn wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steel Penn is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Steel Penn to get the leverage.
White tries to roll over but Steel Penn keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steel Penn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so White is just riding it out for now. Steel Penn eventually gives up the hold.

Steel Penn stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Steel Penn fails to land with a series of punches.
White moves in looking to clinch but Steel Penn pushes him off.
White misses with a series of wild punches.

A momentary lapse in concentration from White enables Steel Penn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. White manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Steel Penn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed White's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Steel Penn working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
White tries to get to full guard but Steel Penn has control of the leg.
White manages to get to full guard.
White strikes from his own guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel Penn passes White's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Steel Penn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for White!
Steel Penn prevents White from getting the reversal.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White has given up his back.

Steel Penn working for a choke but White is defending well.
White trying to control but not successfully.

Steel Penn has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, White has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on White's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Well, with Steel Penn on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before White is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Steel Penn working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but White is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Steel Penn has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! White taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Prodigy Steel Penn!
Walter White spoke after the fight, saying ' You clearly don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No! I am the one who knocks! Fuck you.'.
