Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Johnson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hodge counters with a one-two to the body.

Hodge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hodge really is a fat lump.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hodge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
Johnson is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hodge manages to get himself to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Hodge's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Hodge which made him look bad.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hodge stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hodge!

Johnson tries to bench press Hodge off him but Hodge keeps the position.

Hodge tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hodge has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hodge looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Johnson is avoiding damage well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hodge is putting a hurting on Johnson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Hodge misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Johnson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Johnson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Hodge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.

Hodge in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hodge wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hodge wants to stand but Johnson has his arm trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Elmer Hodge will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Hodge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hodge's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Hodge is trying to defend against the choke here but Johnson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Johnson Tightens the hold and Hodge taps out furiously! Johnson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
